When you first walk- into sammysoap there is no doubt that you have walked into a soap store with clean natural smells filling the room. Nestled in a line of stores in downtown Kirkwood, MO, sammysoap revitalized the once old firehouse into a workable space while keeping the historic features intact, just one of many ways it helps the community where it is stationed.
So Do They Just Sell Soaps?
For those who love organic products, sammysoap sells more than just body wash. From shaving soap to dog wash, sammysoap provides many organic items that add to its appeal. How Interesting Can A Tour About Soap Be?
Trust me–I was thinking the same thing. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The tour, headed by master soapmaker Chris Moritz, is not only about soapmaking, but about how what you think of as soap, really isn’t soap. Chris begins to really shine when it comes to kids (don’t worry, adults can cut the soap too!). Through an interactive children’s area to Chris’s witty banter, children are able to laugh, smile, and cut soap all while having an education about organic ingredients.
I Am Very Particular About What I Smell Like. Do They Have Options?
With over 90+ soaps, there is a fragrance for everyone. Sammysoap is knowledgeable in
skin conditions such as acne and eczema and can recommend a soap based on your personal needs. While I have eczema and often have to choose fragrance-free products, I was able to enjoy the organic fragrances in sammysoap without any irritation. From their Unscented Bar to their Chocolate Bar, you will smell delicious no matter your preference.
But Aren’t Bar Soaps Messy and Awkward?
Short answer-Not these soaps. One bar will last you about 35 washes and maintain a firm shape that is still able to lather until your last wash.
