FIRST IMPRESSIONS

When first seeing the product, I imagined it being a thicker consistency but I was rather pleasantly surprised. The shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioner come out in a smooth traditional shampoo consistency. The smell of the citrus oil is refreshing but not overpowering. I personally do not enjoy the smell of citrus but I did enjoy the smell of these products.

Results of Each Product

• Shampoo
  • This shampoo provides so much lather! I haven’t experienced so many suds on my head in a long time so it was a fun surprise. As far as amount goes, I would say a quarter size amount should satisfy even longer hair. After massaging the shampoo into my scalp and rinsing, I did feel on almost thickness to my hair. While I can usually rinse my hair with one hand, I found myself using two because my strands seemed to thicken. While this shampoo did leave my hair a little stripped, it was not brittle where one would be concerned with breakage. Advertised as a daily shampoo, I would recommend it for this purpose, especially those with fine hair that easily shows oil.
• Conditioner
  • The conditioner has the same consistency as the shampoo and smells just as wonderful. With my hair being so fine, and having curls on top of that, many conditioners seem to weigh down on my hair making my hair look flat on top. This conditioner provided the right amount of moisture without weighing down on my hair. When my hair needs a moisture tune up in the middle of the week, I will be running this conditioner through my hair.
• Deep Conditioner
  • This is a deep conditioner that you should put on outside the shower and rinse off in the sink. While most deep conditioners are creamy, this one keeps the consistency of the rest of the line, making it easier to work through hair. With the use of the Hask Beauty Brush, I was able to reach every part of my head. The brush is a mixture of a prong brush with only about 1/2 inch of bristles between the prongs. This helps you get big tangles at with the prongs and then follow-up fine tangles with the bristles. Moisturizing without over conditioning, my hair still felt as refreshed as it had when I first washed it.

WHY YOU SHOULD TRY IT

Every scalp needs a deep clean now and again, like I said previously, you need different products to do different things with your hair. Retaining moisture is a big problem with curls and so I often stray away from things that really clean the scalp. With this product, I will not have to worry about the rest of my hair suffering in regards to moisture.
